Frontier (Hamburg, N.Y.) took an early lead against West Seneca West (West Seneca, N.Y.) and held on for a 49-0 victory on Saturday.
In the first quarter, the Falcons put up 21 points. Frontier scored on a touchdown run by
Paul Brinkel, a touchdown pass by
Tyler Gaglia to
Ricky Fitzgerald and a Gaglia touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Brinkel in the first quarter, FHS led 35-0 at the half.
The Hamburg school grew its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Falcons scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Kenny Kahler.
Gaglia stood out for Frontier in the win. The senior quarterback ran for two touchdowns.
A 23-13 Frontier victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The win brought Frontier's winning streak to four games. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Indians.
In a Section 6 AA game next week Frontier (4-0) takes on Kenmore West, and West Seneca West (0-4) will go up against Jamestown also in a Section 6 AA game.
