The Idalia Wolves's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Flagler by a score of 44-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Idalia also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Idalia to victory were Jaylyn Kechter and Krista Wieser. Kechter scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Wieser dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that Wieser scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Addison Richards, who scored six points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Flagler still got an impressive performance from Jaylie Stone, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Stone is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydnie Berry, who scored four points along with three steals.
Idalia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Flagler, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Idalia will head out on the road to challenge Arickaree at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Arickaree will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Flagler, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Burlington at 4:00 p.m. Burlington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 389 points over their last six contests.
