Wellington-Napoleon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Melanie Thornburg, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Isabelle Miller who scored seven points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Miller posted two or more blocks.
Wellington-Napoleon's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.7 points per game. As for Sweet Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington-Napoleon will face off against Leeton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
