Volleyball Recap: Lockport Gets the Win

Lockport won the last time they faced Minooka and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Porters came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Porters.

Lockport not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Minooka between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Hutsyn Timosciek paced Lockport's offense, picking up ten kills. Timosciek got some help from Natalie Bochantin and her 19 assists. Timosciek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Minooka's loss came despite strong showings from Kennedy Walker and Maddie Dostall. Walker had nine digs and nine assists, while Dostall had ten digs and two assists. Dostall has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Lockport's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Minooka, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Lockport will be playing at home against Romeoville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Minooka, they will take on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in a tournament on Friday.
