The Sneads Pirates will be playing at home against the Seminole County Indians  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
 After dropping their season opener at home, Seminole County is headed out to face a Pirates  squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Sneads fell just short of Cottondale by a score of  24-21 on Friday.
 Despite their  loss, Sneads saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Pious Reed, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, was perhaps the best of all.
 Sneads wouldn't let Cottondale keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Sneads can thank  Troy Mathews and  Aaron Williams for forcing both of them. Sneads got some further help from  Justin Street: he made nine total tackles and defended three passes.
 Even though they lost, Sneads was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 251  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 157  rushing yards in seven consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Seminole County didn't have too much trouble with Chattahoochee County at home   on Friday as they won  27-13. Given the Indians' advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked 143rd, while the Panthers are ranked 431st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Seminole County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Nei?Ko Edwards.
