Clearfield (Pa.) defeated
Penns Valley Area (Spring Mills, Pa.) 37-15.
The Bison scored on two rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including one by
Tyler Stratton.
After taking the lead on a Stratton touchdown run in the second quarter, Clearfield led 17-0 at the half.
CHS expanded its lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. The Bison scored two times in the third, including once on a
Christian Lezzer touchdown run.
When the two teams played each other last season, Clearfield came away with a 55-14 victory.
The loss comes after Penns Valley Area defeated Juniata 21-16 last week.
In a Mountain game next week Clearfield (2-0) takes on Central, and Penns Valley Area (1-1) will go up against Bald Eagle Area also in a Mountain game.
