The Fairview Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Sharon Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Sharon's (thus far) undefeated season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-51, which was the final score in Fairview's tilt against Warren on Friday. Fairview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.
Despite the defeat, Fairview had strong showings from Archie Murphey, who scored 15 points, and Tyler DiVecchio, who scored ten points. That's the first time this season that Murphey scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Patrick Stafford, who scored four points.
Meanwhile, Sharon humbled Conneaut Area with a 67-24 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Sharon has managed all season.
Fairview bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Sharon, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
Fairview didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Sharon when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. Will Fairview repeat their success, or does Sharon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
