Washington extended the longest winning streak in Greater Dakota this week by beating O'Gorman, 49-3. This was the team's 12th consecutive win.
Spearfish was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after falling to Harrisburg. The Spartans came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Washington's Jon Hander and Nathan Gerry have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hander has thrown for 1752 yards this season, while Gerry, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 22 catches for 586 yards. Spearfish's Nate Rotert leads the league in rushing yards with 1245.
Brian Hermanson's team took down the Knights 49-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
