The Eno River Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Oxford Prep Griffins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eno River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Eno River didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Excelsior Classical Academy, but they still walked away with a 55-50 victory.
Eno River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Corey Amyot out in front who scored 15 points along with two steals. Amyot hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Jacob Manning was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Oxford Prep beat Varsity Opponent 54-44 on Friday. The win was just what Oxford Prep needed coming off of a 72-45 defeat in their prior matchup.
Eno River's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-8. Oxford Prep's record is now 12-3.
Eno River came out on top in a nail-biter against Oxford Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 60-58. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Oxford Prep's Logan Jones, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds.
