The Tabernacle Christian Eagles can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Mooresville Christian on the road to the tune of 53-23. The win was nothing new for Tabernacle Christian as they're now sitting on four straight.
Tabernacle Christian was led to victory by Liz Southerland and Annie Sichting. Southerland scored 24 points along with nine steals and six rebounds, while Sichting scored 26 points along with nine steals and eight assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Southerland has scored at least a third of Tabernacle Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Brummett, who scored a point along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Mooresville Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey Hayden, who scored six points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alaina Stout, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Tabernacle Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Mooresville Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
Tabernacle Christian will take on Tournament Opponent at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Mooresville Christian, they will be playing at home against Colonial Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Colonial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
