The Little Wound Mustangs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Red Cloud, falling 84-22. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Little Wound in their matchups with Red Cloud: they've now lost nine in a row.
Red Cloud's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashlan Carlow-Blount, who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, ten assists, and 14 steals. Carlow-Blount is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jodene Hunter, who scored 27 points along with six steals.
Little Wound's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Red Cloud, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Little Wound will head out on the road to take on Crazy Horse at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Cloud, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spearfish at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
