The Bear River Bears waltzed into Tuesday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 42-30 victory over Clearfield.
Among those leading the charge was Kyver Jensen, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Bridger Barfuss was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Clearfield still got an impressive performance from Chase Mcneill, who scored 6 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Williams, who scored 5 points.
Bear River pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Clearfield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Bear River will face off against Cedar at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Clearfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Layton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Layton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
