The Central Wildcats had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against St. Martinville by a score of 52-41. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but Central was the better team in the second half.
When it comes to explaining why St. Martinville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Makharee Narcisse. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Tyren Syon was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
