After three games on the road, Excelsior Classical Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Eno River Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Excelsior Classical Academy earned a 26-13 victory over the Pride. The win was just what Excelsior Classical Academy needed coming off of a 54-4 loss in their prior game.
Excelsior Classical Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Arihanna Williams out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Williams grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Shadimond Francis-Service, who scored five points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Eno River didn't have too much trouble with the on the road on Wednesday as they won 30-11. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eno River.
Excelsior Classical Academy's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Eno River, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Excelsior Classical Academy took a serious blow against the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in January, falling 51-3. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Excelsior Classical Academy was down 32-0.
