On Thursday, The Amite County Trojans never let their opponents score. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 44-0 win over West Lincoln. Amite County didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Amite County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Calvin Thompson Jr. out in front who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Amite County also got a significant boost from Chris Tobias, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 119 yards.
Amite County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for West Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Amite County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Clarkdale at 7:00 a.m. West Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
