Veritas Christian has gone 9-0-1 against Sunrise Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. Veritas Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Veritas Christian was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary's Academy, taking the game 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won three in a row.

James Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Veritas Christian let Asher Lawson and Shaphan Ming run wild. Lawson scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Ming went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. What's more, Lawson posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Austin Alvarez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Sunrise Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Wichita Defenders HomeSchool on Tuesday, but Wichita Defenders HomeSchool never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Defenders.
The team relied heavily on Trapper Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Gael Cisneros, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Veritas Christian pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Sunrise Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Veritas Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Sunrise Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Veritas Christian keep running through batters, or will the Buffaloes buck the trend?
Veritas Christian took their win against Sunrise Christian Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 16-6 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
