After a string of four wins, the Potter-Dix Coyotes's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-31 loss at the hands of Kimball. Potter-Dix was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kimball apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Loss or not, Potter-Dix got some senior leadership from Jaxen Buettenback who scored ten points along with five rebounds and Brayden Kasten who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him.
Kimball's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Paxton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Paxton's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Miller, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
Potter-Dix's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Kimball, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Potter-Dix will take on Leyton at TBD on Friday. Leyton is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Kimball, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bridgeport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
