Greater Wichita City recap November 19, 2013
Kapaun Mt. Carmel added to the longest winning streak in Greater Wichita City this week by beating Central, 44-42. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating the Mustangs. Dan Adelhardt's team came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Scott Linnebur. The Bishop Carroll star has 37 catches for 577 yards.
In 162 carries Deron Thompson has put up 988 yards this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when South takes on the Crusaders. The Cougars are currently in eighth, while Kapaun Mt. Carmel is in first.
The Crusaders made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,270 from 1,589. The improvement was largely due to a 44-42 victory over Central last week.
