Devine has gone 7-2 against Jourdanton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Warhorses / Arabians will venture away from home to square off against the Indians/Squaws at 2:00 p.m. Devine will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Friday, Devine had just enough and edged out Bandera 8-6.

The team relied heavily on Christian Beaver, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Esai Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jourdanton). They blew past Randolph 16-1 on Friday. With that win, the Indians/Squaws brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Troy Fulmer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Jourdanton let Braden Griego and Nico Chapa run wild. Griego went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI, while Chapa went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Griego is becoming a predictor of Jourdanton's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 9-1-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Caden Harter was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Jourdanton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Devine's record now sits at 11-6. As for Jourdanton, their record is now 14-7-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Devine has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jourdanton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Devine might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Jourdanton when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Warhorses / Arabians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
