The Worth County Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-51 to Piedmont Academy. Worth County found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post nine fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the loss, Worth County still got an impressive performance from Jariah Williams, who scored 24 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Williams scored a full 47.1% of Worth County's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sha?coryia Andrews, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Marissa Holder was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds for Piedmont Academy. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Teagan Satterfield was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and three steals.
Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Piedmont Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
