The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Bernard-Elmwood Place of the 43-30 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Felicity-Franklin found their leader in underclassman Hayden Broadwell, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Broadwell scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Forbes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Felicity-Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cincinnati Christian at 7:30 p.m. Cincinnati Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Felicity-Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethel-Tate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel-Tate and Felicity-Franklin are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
