The Lee County Yellow Jackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hoke County 63-30 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Lee County who now have three in a row.
Kelyce Mcswain continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lily Currin, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Hoke County still got an impressive performance from Shelby Burris, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Samari Parker, who scored four points along with two steals.
Lee County pushed their record up to 8-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Hoke County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee County is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Hoke County, they will challenge the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Richmond has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
