Kaitlyn Blake was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Wheeling Central Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Haley Severns, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Wheeling Central Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Monroe Central, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3.
