It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cartersville Hurricanes had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-9 victory over Eastside. Cartersville's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Khristian Lando got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns.
Cartersville has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.4 points per game. As for Eastside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Cartersville will stay at home for another week and welcome Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on November 24th. Jenkins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Cartersville is ranked 23rd). Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
