After two games on the road, Rochester is heading back home. They will take on the Springfield Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rochester will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Senators are ranked 115th).
Rochester struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Titans had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Rochester ended up on the wrong side of a tough 58-33 walloping at the hands of the Titans.
Rochester's loss came about despite a quality game from Taylor Offer, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Springfield gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Bloomington 58-34. The victory was nothing new for Springfield as they're now sitting on three straight.
Rochester has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Springfield, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.
Things could have been worse for Rochester, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-30 loss to the Senators in their previous meeting back in November of 2023.
