The McEwen Warriors won the last time they faced the Perry County Vikings, and things went their way on Friday too. McEwen walked away with a 57-48 victory over Perry County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for McEwen.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cianna Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Byrd, who scored 11 points.
McEwen now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Perry County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McEwen will face off against Waverly Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry County, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
