Elder had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They managed a 51-45 win over the Bishop Verot Vikings.

Bishop Verot lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eddie Gore, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points. Jerry Ashley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Elder's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Bishop Verot, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.
