Baseball Recap: Fayetteville's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fayetteville got themselves on the board against Southside on Monday, but Southside never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 7-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Fayetteville's third in a row) raised their record to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Southside, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Fayetteville will take on Bentonville West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Southside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
