The Dieterich Movin Maroons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 73-65 win over Farina South Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dieterich to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miley Britton, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Britton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Estella Meinhart was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Dieterich and bumps their season record up to 17-10. As for Farina South Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dieterich on the road again on Monday and play against Robinson at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Farina South Central, they will take on Red Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Red Hill will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
