It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Pawhuska Huskies ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over Tulsa CHEF. That's another feather in the cap for Pawhuska, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Pawhuska can attribute much of their success to Trenton Miles, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elvernon White, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Pawhuska's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Tulsa CHEF, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will take on Hominy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tulsa CHEF will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Catoosa at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
