The Aransas Pass Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against West Oso, falling 63-36. Aransas Pass was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
It was another big night for malaigha sweats, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds for West Oso. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Milauni Williams, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Aransas Pass has fallen quite a ways from their 26-12 record last season and are now at 2-9. As for West Oso, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Aransas Pass will head out on the road to face off against Odem at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Odem comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. West Oso will finish 2023 at home by hosting Ray at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ray comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
