The Bibb County Choctaws took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They put the hurt on Brookwood with a sharp 60-39 win. That's another feather in the cap for Bibb County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Brookwood's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Leland Foster, who scored 10 points, and Joseph Mayo who scored 9 points. Foster scored a full 25.6% of Brookwood's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Bibb County's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Brookwood, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Bibb County will take on Hillcrest at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
