Halls is a perfect 3-0 against Clarksburg since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Halls' pitcher stepped up to hand Middleton a 12-0 shutout. Halls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.
Carrlee Riddick was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addyson Brodie, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayla Cobb, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
Halls hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clarksburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Middleton on Monday as they made off with a 17-1 victory. That looming 17-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rockets yet this season.
Like Halls, Clarksburg also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Milam. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Milam was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Libby Autry was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Lainey Glosson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Halls has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Clarksburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Halls has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clarksburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Halls took their victory against Clarksburg when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 9-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
