The ED White Commanders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Englewood Rams at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully ED White focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
First Coast typically has all the answers at home, but ED White proved too difficult a challenge. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 49-48 win over the Buccaneers.
Toussaint Chery was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ty Vincent, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Englewood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Westside 69-37. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Englewood in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.
ED White's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Englewood, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
ED White didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Rams in their previous meeting last Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for ED White since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
