Northside Christian Academy was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders with a sharp 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Grayson Crim made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Northside Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Will Spotts was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Northside Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cade McNeill, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Northside Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Northside Christian Academy's record now sits at 8-5. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
