The Boys Latin Lakers will head out on the road to take on the Loyola Blakefield Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-43, which was the final score in Boys Latin's tilt against the Panthers last Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Boys Latin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Panthers are ranked ninth).
Meanwhile, even though Indian Creek scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Loyola Blakefield still came out on top. Loyola Blakefield took down the Eagles 76-58. Loyola Blakefield pushed the score to 57-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.
Boys Latin's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Loyola Blakefield, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.
Boys Latin came up short against the Dons in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 49-43. Can Boys Latin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
