Bishop McLaughlin Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Anclote, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Sharks with a sharp 17-3 win on Wednesday. For the Hurricanes, this counts as revenge for the 16-1 victory the Sharks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic got a massive performance out of Catherine Bell, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Bell has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophie Sanchez, who scored three runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-5.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic and bumps their season record up to 2-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.5 runs over those games. As for Anclote, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
