The Elyria Catholic Panthers stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Buckeye 61-28 at home. The victory was nothing new for Elyria Catholic as they're now sitting on four straight.
Buckeye's loss came despite strong showings from Morgan Penny and Molly Danilovic. Penny scored six points, while Danilovic scored six points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Danilovic pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Elyria Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Buckeye, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Elyria Catholic will head out on the road to take on Holy Name at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Name will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Elyria Catholic is ranked 126th). As for Buckeye, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Rocky River at 7:00 p.m.
