In this week's power rankings, we saw one team go soaring up and another team come crashing down, along with everything in between. A special shoutout goes to Notre Dame's senior Zack Hochman, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
No Stoppin 'Em
The Hand offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. The final score between it and Bunnell was a 56 - 0 blowout in Hand's favor. One star in particular for Hand was junior Colin McCabe, who rushed for 175 yards and five touchdowns. At 78 total points, this was the highest scoring power ranking game of the week.

Middletown couldn't hold onto the ball last week, and its three turnovers certainly didn't improve its odds for success. Victory was within reach, but it ultimately lost 20 - 14 to Maloney. The defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Xzavier Reyes, who ran for 118 yards and also punched in one touchdown. Matters were only made worse for Middletown when it came to the power rankings: the team dropped four places, the most of any team in the rankings.
Movin on Up
After last week, Bloomfield finds itself crusing on a three-game winning streak. Everything went its way against Woodland Regional as it secured a 49 - 10 victory. No one had a larger role in the success than senior Ky'juon Butler, who brought his A game into the contest. He earned three touchdowns and 153 yards rushing the ball. The team's efforts were enough to boost its power ranking by six, which was the most sizeable gain made by any team in the rankings.
Can't Touch This
Ansonia was the better team in every quarter against Plainfield last week and consequently the better team overall. Ansonia picked up a decisive 'W' against Plainfield, finishing up at 42 - 0. Sophomore Sheldon Schuler Jr. was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he tossed the ball for 239 yards and four TDs). Shykeem Harmon deserves a lot of credit in the win. He rushed for 305 yards and three touchdowns, a performance good enough to make him one of the top players in the power rankings last week.
