Baseball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Takes a Loss

Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the School Without Walls Penguins, falling 12-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Kadar Muir was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Victor Diaz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Archbishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for School Without Walls, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Archbishop Carroll will welcome DC International at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for School Without Walls, they will venture away from home to take on The Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
