Valley View is 0-7 against the Panthers since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Valley View Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Paradise Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Valley View is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Valley View beat the Rams 50-41. The victory was just what Valley View needed coming off of a 66-37 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Paradise waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Boyd 43-41. Given Paradise's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 775th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Valley View's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-21. As for Paradise, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.
Valley View took a serious blow against the Panthers in their previous meeting back in January, falling 58-18. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Valley View was down 30-7.
