First Baptist School won the last time they faced Northwood Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The First Baptist School Hurricanes walked away with a 65-57 victory over the Northwood Academy Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Northwood Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Meadows, who posted eight points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Lingard, who scored 12 points.

First Baptist School's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Northwood Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season.

First Baptist School and Northwood Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. First Baptist School is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Northwood Academy will face off against Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 197 places (246 vs. 49).
