Basketball Recap: Skyline Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kaylee Cole and Jordan Seiuli

On Saturday, the Skyline Coyotes lost to the Horizon Hawks on the road by a 46-32 margin. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Skyline's loss came despite strong showings from Jordan Seiuli and Kaylee Cole. Seiuli posted eight points and 12 rebounds, while Cole had seven points. Seiuli has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played.

Horizon found their leader in sophomore Neveah Stukas, who earned ten points along with seven boards and three steals. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Stukas. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Newble, who put up eight points and four steals.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Horizon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

When Skyline and Horizon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Skyline will try to stop Shadow Ridge's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Meanwhile, Horizon will try to stop Niwot's five-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
