Oakdale and Coalfield are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Oakdale Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Coalfield Yellow Jackets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Oakdale and four for Coalfield.
Last Tuesday, Oakdale came up short against Rockwood and fell 52-43.
Meanwhile, Coalfield was beaten by Oliver Springs 70-42 on Tuesday.
Oakdale has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Coalfield, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Oakdale strolled past Coalfield when the teams last played last Tuesday by a score of 81-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oakdale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
