North Star has gone a perfect 10-0 against Glenns Ferry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Pilots at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Star has eight straight victories, Glenns Ferry has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
North Star is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 30-3 margin over Rimrock on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Carlos Guzman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Luke Fox was a standout: he scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson McReynolds, who went 5-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Meanwhile, Glenns Ferry came up short against Soda Springs on Saturday, falling 14-4.
Bryce Sterling was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Reynolds, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
North Star pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Glenns Ferry, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Everything went North Star's way against Glenns Ferry when the teams last played back in March, as North Star made off with a 14-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
