Even though The Preble Shawnee Arrows have not done well against the Milton-Union Bulldogs recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Preble Shawnee walked away with a 28-17 victory over Milton-Union. The win made it back-to-back wins for Preble Shawnee.
Preble Shawnee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brody Morton out in front who rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Isaac Blankenship also helped out with an impressive 119 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Milton-Union still got an impressive performance from Jordan Foose, who rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Mayfield, who gained 142 total yards.
Preble Shawnee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points per game. As for Milton-Union, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Preble Shawnee will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Brookville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Preble Shawnee in Ohio (Brookville is ranked 155th, while Preble Shawnee is ranked 359th). Milton-Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
