There's no place like home for Mineral Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Mount Ida Lions with a sharp 15-4 victory on Wednesday. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Mineral Springs' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Mount Ida, they moved to 5-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mineral Springs will welcome Blevins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blevins has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something Mineral Springs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
