Victory Baptist Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Brookelyn Dickerson and Emma Mars. Dickerson scored nine points along with three steals, while Mars scored two points along with nine rebounds. Mars has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.
The victory got Episcopal School of Dallas back to even at 9-9. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Episcopal School of Dallas will challenge the Daisies at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Hockaday is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waxahachie Prep is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
