The Goldsboro Cougars put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Wallace-Rose Hill at home to the tune of 60-27. Considering Goldsboro has won eight matches by more than 23 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Nashiyah Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 steals. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Des'Myah Croom, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Goldsboro pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldsboro will take on J.H. Rose at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Lenoir at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
