Archbishop Ryan moved up to 47 from 126 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Philadelphia Catholic AAAA. The Raiders were able to make the jump by beating Chichester 49-6.
La Salle College extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Malvern Prep, 38-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Explorers.
La Salle College's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Explorers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chris Kane has thrown for 482 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Sean Coleman has 12 catches for 248 yards. Jared Hermann leads the league in rushing with 115 yards.
The marquee game in Philadelphia Catholic AAAA this week will be the clash between Roman Catholic and St. Joseph's Prep. The Cahillite enters the contest ranked 20th in the state, while the Hawks ranks first.
Archbishop Ryan was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Frank McArdle's team vanquished the Eagles 49-6 earlier in the week.
